I have nothing cynical to say about this. This is truly incredible.

Sample Chapter: "The Turtle Who Needed to Refill...
moderatelyimportantfables: (Today is the the midpoint of my Kickstarter campaign for “Moderately Important Fables.” Only 15 days remain! So to celebrate this milestone (it’s not really a milestone when you think about it (or is it? (did you know that if you use too many parenthesis, you’ll go blind?))), I’ve decided to publish another sample chapter, entitled “The Turtle Who Needed to Refill His...

moderatelyimportantfables: Shattuck effectively packs a big punch of wonderfully dry humor that whipsaws between the most serious and ironically funny aspects of the human condition. A very flattering article of the Kickstarter campaign for Moderately Important Fables, by The Selective Echo.

"Moderately Important Fables" on Kickstarter →
If you haven’t donated to my book on Kickstarter yet, please consider doing so. Or don’t donate. The choice is yours. To be honest, that’s what I’ve always liked about you: you refuse to conform. In fact, you’ve always been one of the most independent people I know. On second thought: DON’T donate to my book. Instead, follow your bliss and live your dreams. I...

9 Compliments & 1 Request for 'Moderately...
moderatelyimportantfables: I believe Moderately Important Fables is a project worth supporting on Kickstarter. But as the late LeVar Burton used to say on Reading Rainbow before his untimely death, “You don’t have to take my word for it!” The following are some of the compliments I’ve received for Moderately Important Fables. Kickstarter Campaign Passes $1K Mark; My Head...
moderatelyimportantfables: Holy crap. Moderately Important Fables passed $1,000 on Kickstarter yesterday, in only 4 days. I’m so shocked, that my head just spun all the way around like in ‘The Exorcist,’ and now I have to go to the chiropractor. To show my severe gratitude for your support, I’m going to post a chapter from the book sometime later today or tomorrow.

moderatelyimportantfables: Oh goodness gracious. Kickstarter has chosen Moderately Important Fables as one of their Staff Picks, and even featured my book on their official blog. That’s so flattering, I think I may cry. Which is rather awkward timing, since I’m dancing to the song “Tequila” in a biker bar at the moment.

Moderately Important Fables →
moderatelyimportantfables: Hi, I’m Ryan Shattuck. You may remember me from such websites as Facebook or Google. I’m here to tell you about my brand new book: “Moderately Important Fables.” It’s full of fables that aren’t too important, but just important enough. “Moderately Important Fables” won’t come out until August, but you can support it today on Kickstarter! From now until June 4th, I will...
