I've written about politicians and for politicians. I've also written a book, hosted a podcast, and sent a couple of moderately witty tweets.
I am based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Please don't hold that against me.

If you haven’t donated to my book on Kickstarter yet, please consider doing so. Or don’t donate. The choice is yours. To be honest, that’s what I’ve always liked about you: you refuse to conform. In fact, you’ve always been one of the most independent people I know. On second thought: DON’T donate to my book. Instead, follow your bliss and live your dreams. I believe in you.
Holy crap. Moderately Important Fables passed $1,000 on Kickstarter yesterday, in only 4 days. I’m so shocked, that my head just spun all the way around like in ‘The Exorcist,’ and now I have to go to the chiropractor.
To show my severe gratitude for your support, I’m going to post a chapter from the book sometime later today or tomorrow.
Hello friends. You’ve donated $672 to “Moderately Important Fables.” I seriously can’t get over how amazing every single one of you are.
However, I’m still only 10% of the way to the goal. To raise awareness for “Moderately Important Fables” on Kickstarter, Frida Kahlo graciously offered to make the following video. Thank you, Frida.
It hasn’t even been 24 hours yet, and Moderately Important Fables has already raised $353 on Kickstarter. I’m genuinely touched and overwhelmed by everyone’s support. Thank you.
Ernest Hemingway (yeah, THAT Ernest Hemingway) thinks you should support my new book, “Moderately Important Fables” on Kickstarter.
Hi, I’m Ryan Shattuck. You may remember me from such websites as Facebook or Google. I’m here to tell you about my brand new book: “Moderately Important Fables.” It’s full of fables that aren’t too important, but just important enough.
“Moderately Important Fables” won’t come out until August, but you can support it today on Kickstarter! From now until June 4th, I will be raising funds for the book. Thank you everyone, for reading this. Please drive home safely.
